Our Hotel Kaiseralm in Bischofsgrün is an ideal location in the countryside for your stay during the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth. Surrounded by a marvellous landscape, you can prepare for the performances in Bayreuth and simply "unwind"...

On all days on which we offer a transfer to the Bayreuth Festival Theatre, we serve small and large delicacies from our Kaiseralm kitchen in our parlour after the performance in Bayreuth on advance booking.

Transfer bus to the Festival

This year we can once again offer our transfer bus to the Festspielhaus for almost all performances, starting at 14:30 or 16:30 at the hotel depending on the start of the performance and returning to our hotel directly after the performance (price € 20.00 per person per day).

Family-run private hotel

Since 1992, the Kaiseralm has been managed by the Schreiner family. They have owned the hotel since 2006, making it a family-run private hotel. Since 2022, Stephanie - the family's daughter - has also joined the family business as hotel manager.

Daily festival transfer

Take advantage of our festival transfer to the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth. Depending on the start of the performance, this starts at 14:30 or 16:30 at the hotel and returns to our hotel directly after the performance (price € 20.00 per person and day).

Dinner also after the festival

Our restaurant is open for you every day from midday. Depending on the weather and temperature, we are also happy to serve you on our hotel terrace. You can also dine with us in our restaurant after the performance.

Finish in the evening

After dinner you can round off the evening in our "Bierstube" or, weather permitting, on our hotel terrace.

Surrounded by springs, forests and meadows, you can enjoy a holiday in the heart of the Fichtelgebirge, between our local mountains Schneeberg and Ochsenkopf, surrounded by nature.

Easily accessible from anywhere

In the heart of the Fichtelgebirge with excellent connections to the A9 and A93 motorways and via the B303, you can reach us in no time at all.

Charging station for electric cars

There is a charging station with two connections for electric cars directly in our car park. Charging is by credit card.

Swimming pool

In our indoor pool (6x15m) you can swim a few relaxing laps in water temperatures of approx. 29-30°C. From our swimming pool area you have direct access to our swimming pool terrace with adjoining hotel garden.

Wellness & Massagen

Enjoy our Finnish sauna or relax in our infrared cabin. Would you like to be pampered with a massage? Then make an appointment with our Jonas Thiel.

Thanks to the south-facing orientation of our house, you can enjoy a marvellous view of Bischofsgrün and our local mountain, the Ochsenkopf, from each of our rooms.

There are plenty of free parking spaces available for you directly in front of our hotel. You can also book an underground parking space instead. (8€/day)

Would you like to leave your car behind or are you travelling by public transport? The nearest bus stop labelled "Höhenklinik" is just 100 metres from our hotel entrance.
